High Tech Printing
Overproduction isn’t the only environmental burden created by the manufacturing industry. Outdated technology plays a significant role in the creation of waste and harmful by-products.
In partnering with Printer, Dedicated Stars is working to ensure all of its customer’s orders are fulfilled using technology that works in harmony with the environment, rather than against it.
Garments are printed using the direct-to-garment (DTG) printing method to minimize waste and ensure a fade-resistant finish. Kornit printers that use almost no wastewater and less energy than standard printers keep the carbon footprint as low as possible. Inks are water-based, biodegradable, 100 percent vegan, and free of harmful chemicals.
For posters, Epson inks that are certified by GreenGuard are used. All-over print products are produced using Mimaki printers and Mimaki inks that are certified with an OEKO-TEX Eco Passport.
Any leftover ink is disposed of safely and in full accordance with the supplier guidelines.
