Truck drivers looking to use new disinfection platform for big rigs

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The trucking industry in 2012 included 294.7 cases of illness involving days away from work per 10,000 full time workers – almost 3 times the rate for all private industry occupations1. According to a CDC survey, they found that long-haul truck drivers are more likely to smoke, be overweight, and are less likely to be physically active compared to other US workers2. With some truck drivers being on the road for multiple months at a time, and not having the healthiest lifestyle, new technology allows for them to proactively protect themselves from malicious diseases while out on the road.

The Paerosol MAG, or micro-aerosol generator, is a proprietary disinfectant platform that can kill up to 99.9999% of viruses, bacteria, and mold3. Using proprietary technology, the Paerosol micro-aerosol generator takes the Paerolyte liquid disinfectant and turns it into a dry spray, allowing for the disinfectant to kill both airborne and surface-borne viruses, bacteria and mold with up to 99.9999% efficacy. Given how quickly the Paerosol micro-aerosol generator can fill up a typical sedan, the dry spray technology will work quickly and effortlessly inside of the truck cab and getting into all the hard to reach places, such as inside the air vents and getting into the seats themselves. The non-toxic liquid disinfectant, in conjunction with the Paerosol MAG, is a cost effective and easy to use way to disinfect the trucker’s second home.

“The use of the Paerosol MAG [micro-aerosol generator] in trucks can significantly decrease the spread of infectious diseases, especially given how far these trucks can go.”

  • Steve Gareleck, CEO of Paerosol LLC

About Paerosol – Paerosol is a platform which kills air and surface-borne mold, bacteria, and viruses at up to a 99.9999% rate of effectiveness. The Paerosol technology originated in the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (“PNNL”) which is managed and operated by Battelle Memorial Institute. As part of the Federal Lab Commission’s (“FLC”) efforts to commercialize federally owned technology within the private sector, Paerosol LLC (founded by Steve Gareleck, CEO and Scott Alderson, President) obtained the exclusive licensing rights to this disinfecting technology directly from Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Paerosol’s proprietary Dry Spray technology allows for Paerolyte’s liquid disinfectant to get into all corners and crevices of any space it’s placed in. Paerosol has been successfully tested by US & Foreign Government Agencies. The United States Defense Threat Reduction Agency successfully tested Paerosol against bio-agents including simulates of Anthrax and Ebola, common civilian and hospitals pathogens such as E Coli and Salmonella, antibiotic-resistant microbes, and viruses including H1N1 (swine flu), H5N1 (bird flu), MRSA, and the SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19)2.
