Tallahassee hospital tests new proprietary disinfectant platform

CHARLESTON, S.C. – In June of 2020, Tallahassee Memorial Hospital got a first glance of the newly developed Paerosol MAG, or micro-aerosol generator, to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The Paerosol MAG, or micro-aerosol generator, uses proprietary technology to turn Paerolyte’s liquid disinfectant into a dry spray, allowing the disinfectant to not only kill viruses, bacteria, and mold on surfaces, but in the air as well with up to 99.9999% efficacy1.

Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, like many other medical institutions, have been on the hunt for new ways to streamline the disinfection process of their facilities and tools. Paerosol and the Florida State Firefighters Association have teamed up to bring the new disinfecting platform over to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital to determine if Paerosol is a good fit for them. The original mission of the partnership between Paerosol and the Florida State Firefighters Association was to help keep emergency workers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the FSFA has now wanted to take that relationship further by bringing in multiple sectors to see the amazing results of the Paerosol MAG for themselves. Philip Doyle, Chief of Public Safety and Emergency Management, says this is a chance to see new technology help protect everyone.

“We’re evaluating the product.” Doyle says. “What we’re looking or is something that’s going to make the community feel safe when they come back in to our environment, knowing that we’ve done everything that we possibly can to make sure this environment is as safe as possible for them”

“We’re excited to bring this technology out to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital to show what it can do. After years of research and development, we can’t wait for people to get their hands on this.”

About Paerosol – Paerosol is a platform which kills air and surface-borne mold, bacteria, and viruses at up to a 99.9999% rate of effectiveness. The Paerosol technology originated in the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (“PNNL”) which is managed and operated by Battelle Memorial Institute. As part of the Federal Lab Commission’s (“FLC”) efforts to commercialize federally owned technology within the private sector, Paerosol LLC (founded by Steve Gareleck, CEO and Scott Alderson, President) obtained the exclusive licensing rights to this disinfecting technology directly from Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Paerosol’s proprietary Dry Spray technology allows for Paerolyte’s liquid disinfectant to get into all corners and crevices of any space it’s placed in. Paerosol has been successfully tested by US & Foreign Government Agencies. The United States Defense Threat Reduction Agency successfully tested Paerosol against bio-agents including simulates of Anthrax and Ebola, common civilian and hospitals pathogens such as E Coli and Salmonella, antibiotic-resistant microbes, and viruses including H1N1 (swine flu), H5N1 (bird flu), MRSA, and the SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19)2.
