Arizona is continuously ranked among the best states in the country for golf. Don Dirren is a resident of the state of Arizona and an avid golfer, and he recently discussed why his state is such a desirable place to travel for a round of golf (or a dozen).

Don Dirren explained that Arizona is home to seven courses in Golf Digest’s list of top 100 courses in the world. The fact that these courses have been frequented by players like Annika Sorenstam and Phil Mickelson make them even more desirable.
Another major draw to Arizona’s golf scene is the weather. The temperate climate means harsh winter weather is extremely rare, so you can hit the links in all seasons. Arizona also boasts more days of sunshine per year than most other states, and that means more opportunities to golf. You probably won’t have to worry about the weather when booking a golf escape to Arizona, and that is a major advantage.
