New Herpes Vaccine Shows 93.67% Efficiency, To Cure HSV-1 & HSV-2.

Two herpes vaccine candidates, RVx201 and RVx202 have been shown to be safe in a new pre-clinical study by researchers at the Department of Population Health Sciences, Virginia Tech, and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Both the herpes vaccine candidates (HerpaGreens & Herpesyl) are live-attenuated mutants of the herpes virus that could safely replicate and infect new cells at the site of injection.

Both the herpes vaccine candidates carry attenuating mutations in a key viral gene that encodes a protein named “infected cell protein 0” (ICP0). This protein controls the balance of Herpes Simplex Virus latency and replication. These weakening mutations limit the ability of the virus to cause infection but retain its ability to stimulate the body’s immune system sufficiently enough to elicit an amplified and effective response to combat the infection.

In simple terms, live-attenuated viral herpes vaccines are based on weakened forms of the viruses that cause disease. When a person is vaccinated with a properly attenuated live herpes vaccine, the weakened form of the virus could mimic a similar infection without causing the disease. This, in turn, could trigger a wide immune response from the body. As such, a few doses of the herpes vaccine could provide long-term protection against an infectious pathogen and the disease it causes.

The recently reported study tested the two different herpes vaccine candidates RVx201 and RVx202 by administering them to guinea pigs either vaginally or intradermally. After a 28-day observation period, the researchers found that neither herpes vaccine candidate established latency in the guinea pigs. They also found that all of the guinea pigs survived to the end of the study without developing any HSV-2 related disease or adverse reactions. The study concludes that the two novel herpes vaccine candidates are safe in guinea pigs and hence should be tested for efficacy as a preventative and/or therapeutic herpes vaccine against genital herpes.

The lead author of the group, Jonathan Joyce, said that the results are encouraging and validate the need for continued testing and development of live-attenuated herpes vaccine candidates, which according to him, are historically underdeveloped herpes vaccine types for the treatment and prevention of genital herpes.

A co-author of the study, Dr. Edward Gershburg, said he’s encouraged by the study’s findings that the herpes vaccine candidates are safe and can be upgraded to a preventive or therapeutic vaccine for herpes. However, there is still a long way to go before a herpes vaccine becomes a reality. The leading herpes vaccine candidate,  RVx201, is in the IND enabling stage of development, while the other herpes vaccine candidate, RVx202 is still in the R&D stage. At the moment, the only viable options for those suffering from herpes infections are natural supplements like HerpaGreens and Herpesyl. Unlike the herpes vaccine candidates, these come in edible forms like capsules or powders that add to the diet. Among the two popular supplements, HerpaGreens seems more effective and has seen positive results in a larger number of customers.

HerpaGreens is an all-natural herpes-relief dietary supplement that comes in powdered form and can be mixed with water to form a healthy drink. The supplement formula was created by a former Special Ops Combat Medic in the United States Army, Cody Morgan, with the help of a scientist and a specialist in germ warfare with more than 20 years of experience as an independent medical researcher, Charles Ellis. The HerpaGreens formula is based on a breakthrough discovery by scientists at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and diets followed by Moroccan Special Forces soldiers.

Herpes Vaccine – Difficulties During Development!

As per studies, a major difficulty in developing a herpes vaccine is connected to the way alpha-herpesviruses including HSV have evolved a complex mechanism to evade immune responses that could destroy them. The HSV first infects the mucosal tissues of the mouth or genitourinary tract. Then it works its way to the tips of the sensory nerves that transmit signals that are responsible for sensations such as touch and pain. The virus then breaks into the nerve cell with the help of a molecular switch. It uses the molecules to travel along nerve fibers and into the nucleus of the sensory neuron. These infected neurons become essentially a hiding spot for the virus while the infection is cleared by the immune response.

The breakthrough discovery that the HerpaGreens supplement is based on, was made in a study conducted in 2014 by a team led by Thomas Christie, a chief scientist of molecular genetics at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. The team discovered that a drug called Tranylcypromine or TCP could block a protein called LSD-1. This is the exact protein that helps the herpes virus to hide from the immune system.

While the live-attenuated herpes vaccine approach is to elicit a wide immune response by provoking a strong infection without causing the disease, the dietary supplement approach is to provide the right kind of nutrition to disrupt the virus DNA strain by blocking this crucial protein. The virus requires this protein called LAD-1 to take over the host cell and then replicate itself. By blocking this protein, the virus is uncloaked and forced into latency. The immune system is then able to locate and fight the virus out of the body.

Herpa Greens Herpes Vaccine Formula

The key to the HerpaGreens formula, according to the researchers, is an organic blend of 57 cleansing herbs, grade A nutrients, prebiotics, probiotics, and specific vitamins. These include a superfood, antioxidant, and mushroom blend, a nutrient-dense herb and plant extracts blend, prebiotic fiber and digestive enzyme complex, and a probiotic blend.

The superfood, antioxidant, and mushroom blend contains quercetin sources such as asparagus, broccoli, green bell pepper, kale, and orange; resveratrol sources, such as blackberries, blueberries, cranberries, raspberries, and concord grapes; antioxidant sources, such as apricot, beet-root, cabbage, camu camu, cauliflower, cherry, cucumber, coconut juice, organic banana, parsley, pineapple, spirulina, spinach, tomato, and wheatgrass; and also a blend of maitake, reishi, and shiitake Mushrooms.

The nutrient-dense herb and plant extracts blend contain sources of curcumin such as turmeric root, nutrient-dense acacia gum, and other herbs and extracts like acerola cherry extract, ashwagandha root, cinnamon bark, eleuthero root, ginseng root, ginger root, green tea leaf, mangosteen extract, and stevia leaf extract.

The prebiotic fiber and digestive enzyme complex contain apple fiber, chicory root extract, fungal amylase, fungal protease, glucoamylase, lipase, and cellulase, while the probiotic blend contains 2.5 billion CFUs which include bifidobacterium longum, lactobacillus acidophilus, lactobacillus helveticus, and lactobacillus rhamnosus.

The researchers behind the HerpaGreens supplement believe that it can work with oral HSV-1 and genital HSV-2 and prevent recurrent flare-ups. However, the supplement may not be as quick-acting as a herpes vaccine could be since it is made from natural and organic ingredients. Clinical trials and customer reviews suggest that substantial results could take up to three or four months. Nonetheless, the manufacturers of the supplement are willing to offer a 60-day money-back guarantee, if customers don’t see results.

Each bottle of the HerpaGreens supplement contains a 30-day supply of 30 scoops that can be mixed with water to make a healthy tonic. The recommended dosage is to use 1 scoop a day with 1 glass of water, but according to the lead researcher Cody Morgan, customers can even add it to their favorite smoothie or shake. It is also advised that the supplement should be used without breaks at least for two to three months.

The manufacturers of HerpaGreens say that it is a non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, vegan-friendly supplement and is made in a GMP-certified laboratory in the United States, using the latest technology and equipment to ensure the highest standards. And since it is a supplement that contains herbal ingredients with medicinal properties, they say it can also strengthen the immune system and help improve brain function and cardiovascular health.

According to the manufacturers, the HerpaGreens supplement can only be purchased through the product’s official website. At the moment there are three plans that customers can choose from. A single bottle of the supplement costs $79 and shipping charges. However, customers can get considerable discounts by choosing one of the multi-bottle packages. A 3-bottle package would cost $59 for each bottle, while a 6-bottle package would cost $49 for each bottle. Customers are also offered two digital protocols “Ageless Body, Perfect Health” and “Secret Kitchen Cures: Little-Known Remedies That Make Pills Useless” with each purchase, completely free of cost.

A Safe Organic Supplement to replace all Herpes Vaccines.

The HerpaGreens supplement is considered safe for use and free from major side effects as it contains only organic ingredients. However, customers should consult their healthcare provider before taking this supplement if they are pregnant, nursing, or if they are taking any OTC or prescription medications for a health condition.

Statistics revealed by the World Health Organization show that more than 500 million people in the world suffer from an HSV-2 infection that persists for a lifetime and often triggers a flare-up in response to stress. Both forms of the herpes simplex virus, the HSV-2 and HSV-2 can cause a herpes infection in newborns and could lead to blindness and other serious infections in those with an impaired immune system. The risk of an HIV infection is also increased by an HSV infection and may contribute to Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Many people question why science has been unable to develop a herpes vaccine for so long when we have several for Covid-19 after just a few months. A recent study conducted by Dr. Houssein H. Ayoub, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics at Qatar University, and Dr. Laith Jamal Abu Raddad, Professor of Population Health Sciences at Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell University highlight the scale of HSV-2 burden in the U.S. and demonstrates the need for continuous surveillance and to develop prophylactic and therapeutic HSV-2 vaccines.

Data from the National Center For Biotechnology Information shows that “if a vaccine program for HSV was implemented today and the herpes vaccine was 100% efficacious and utilized by 100% of the target population”, the annualized present value of the health care costs saved would be hundreds of millions. According to the WHO, “Global estimates for the economic burden of HSV infection are not available. In the United States, HSV2 infection is estimated to have a total lifetime cost of $540 million US dollars (adjusted to 2010 dollars), 2 behind only HIV and HPV in costs among 8 major STIs (5). These cost estimates exclude neonatal herpes, which had a total hospitalization charge of $35 million in 2006 in the United States.”

Although HSV is not as dangerous as other STDs like HIV/AIDS, the numerous complications that it causes can be life-threatening. Further, the consequences are life-long in most cases, especially in newborns with immature immune systems or those with compromised immune systems. The psychological problems that it can cause among adolescents and youth are also dangerous, as most find it embarrassing to tell a potential life partner that they suffer from an incurable life-long STD.

Today, treatment and control strategies are limited to antiviral agents like acyclovir, and the use of condoms, which has shown about 30% efficiency. As such, the development of effective herpes vaccines would address the thus far unmet need of preventing future transmissions. A successful vaccine that can prevent both HSV-1 and HSV-2 infection would go a long way in helping adolescents, the primary target group for preventive HSV-2 vaccination, and with HSV-infected populations targeted by therapeutic HSV vaccines, which would decrease both symptoms and asymptomatic viral shedding, and also solving neonatal infections.

However, since there is currently no herpes vaccine against HSV-1 or HSV-2, it is best to use natural supplements such as HerpaGreens as it seems to be the only viable option, which could at least be used as a stop-gap until a herpes vaccine is successfully developed.
