UNIDAYS CEO Josh Rathour built his global company with a determined focus, but relied on experts in their field to help him make it.

Knowing what your vision is, and your end goal, is important, the founder of UNiDAYS said, but you should be prepared to adapt when the plan goes awry.

Once you have created a business, it is about getting your potential customers to be aware of who you are and what you do. The UNiDAYS boss said that communication and telling a good story that captivates people is important.

UNiDAYS founder Josh Rathour said: “You could have the best company or idea in the world, but if no-one knows about you, it doesn’t mean a thing. Choosing the right people for the right roles is crucial. Don’t be afraid to ask for help to make sure that you get to where you want to be.”

Josh Rathour added that you have to be flexible and accept that your idea when you started out may not be the same as when you are six months or a year into the journey. Circumstances and goals change. The market may have moved so you have to move with it and adapt your original idea to make sure it is still a success.

The UNiDAYS CEO said that occasionally stepping away from the efforts of building a company is good and pinpointed taking time out as essential, otherwise you can become too consumed in the business and not see where you should be going – sort of not seeing the wood for the trees.

“Step away for a few hours or a day. Take time to breathe and give all the ideas you have and the advice people have given you a chance to sink in, then act on it when you are refreshed.”

Aiming for one goal at a time is also a good thing, said the CEO of UNiDAYS.
