British sports agent Sal Jobe believes Brazilian Olympian and Olympic bronze medallist Abner Teixeira has all the attributes needed to become a future world champion as he begins the next chapter of his professional boxing career.
Jobe, who now represents Teixeira, said the Brazilian heavyweight possesses the pedigree, experience and mentality required to compete at the highest level of the sport.
“Abner has already proven himself on the world stage as an Olympian and Olympic bronze medallist. I genuinely believe he has everything it takes to become a world champion in the professional ranks. Our job is to ensure he has the right opportunities, the right platform and the right team around him to fulfil that potential,” Jobe said.
Teixeira enjoyed a distinguished amateur career, representing Brazil at the Tokyo Olympic Games and winning a bronze medal before making the transition into the professional ranks. He is widely regarded as one of the country’s most accomplished heavyweight boxers of his generation.
Jobe’s representation of Teixeira adds to a portfolio of elite boxing talent he has worked with throughout his career. He has previously represented or worked alongside heavyweight contenders Jarrell Miller, Jermaine Franklin, Michael Hunter and Petar Milas, lightweight J’Hon Ingram, and two-division world champion Sandy Ryan. Belgian heavyweight Micheal pirotton and bantamweight champion Dylan price, He has also worked commercially with current heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois, supporting business and commercial opportunities outside the ring.
As Teixeira continues his professional journey, both fighter and manager believe the focus remains on securing the right opportunities and building towards championship level competition Abner has made is professional debut after much controversy from the British boxing board of control who had a back and forth with manager Sal Jobe on why Abner wasn’t allowed to make his professional boxing debut in the uk, Jobe said he will fight again in the uk or USA with a good name opponent.
