Lima, December 11, 2020. Given the gradual reopening of tourism and the great enthusiasm for travel, the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism – PROMPERÚ relaunches the international campaign “I dream, then I travel”, in order to maintain the presence of the South American country in force as a tourist destination, reinforcing confidence to generate travel intentions towards 2021 and publicize the implementation of biosafety protocols established by the Peruvian government to world travelers.

The inspirational campaign focuses on the dedication of Peruvians and their commitment to Safe Tourism under the following message: ” Peru is preparing to welcome you again because we also dream of meeting again and we are working to make that moment special” .

The spot of just over a minute makes a parallel between the cultural legacy of Peru and the measures that have been implemented for the tourism sector, where the work and care of Peruvians is shown in every detail, internalizing the commitment to health as part of our culture, to welcome tourists back safely. It also shows cultural expressions, dances and natural landscapes of the coast, mountains and jungle, as well as our handicrafts and delicious cuisine.

The second part of “I dream, then I travel” reinforces the concept disseminated during the first quarter of 2020 as a result of the closure of borders caused by COVID-19, providing a consistent message and increasing the reach at the international level. It is worth noting that the first stage of the campaign reached more than 8.1 million views.

The video is available in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, Dutch and German, it will live organically on the various official platforms of Peru for the promotion of the country worldwide.

SAFE DESTINATIONS IN PERU

The campaign is relaunched as a commitment to travelers and the guarantee of compliance with international health standards and protocols since October 2020 through the WTTC Safe Travels distinctive.

It is worth noting that to date various destinations and tourist attractions have been recognized with this official seal. Thus, the safe destinations of Cusco and the Sacred Valley are joined by the Miraflores district in Lima and various attractions in the Ayacucho region, in the south of the country.
