Vivo Y70s 5G with Unannounced Samsung Exynos 880 SoC Gets Listed on Geekbench

A new and unannounced Vivo smartphone bearing the model number V2002A has made it to Geekbench today. According to a well-known Weibo account, Digital Chat Station, the retail name of this smartphone is Vivo Y70s 5G.

The most interesting part about this mobile is that Geekbench shows that it is powered by the Exynos 880 chipset. Samsung hasn’t announced this chipset yet. Moreover, we are hearing about this SoC for the first time.

According to Geekbench, the chipset has 8 CPU cores with a base frequency of 1.79GHz. Digital Chat Station claims that Exynos 880 has two 2.0GHz Cortex-A77 CPU cores, six 1.79GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores, and Mali-G76 GPU.

Going by the naming convention, it looks like the Exynos 880 SoC is a trimmed-down version of the Exynos 980 chipset. Anyway, the Geekbench listing shows that the Vivo Y70s has Android 10 OS and 8GB of RAM.

The Vivo Y70s has scored 641 points in the single-core test and 1,814 points in the multi-core test. The benchmark score of this phone or should we say the benchmark score of this chipset is similar to that of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G.

The Vivo Y70s had been spotted on the 3C certification platform yesterday. According to the 3C listing, the Vivo Y70s has support for 18W charging, which suggests that it is a lower mid-range smartphone at best.

Vivo V2005A spotted on 3C

On a related note, a new Vivo smartphone, bearing the model number V2005A, has been spotted on 3C today. Currently, we don’t have a retail name for this smartphone. Its listing on 3C reveals that the phone has 5G connectivity and 33W charging support.
