At the National Exhibition and Convention Center Shanghai in November 2019, the GAA (Global Art Agency) hosted the first Shanghai global art Fair, in the recent global art news as part of the Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo (NECC). It is China’s largest exhibition complex and one of Shanghai’s most iconic structures. The Ministry of Commerce of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government collaborated on the construction of the structure.

The Yangtze River Delta International Industries Expo includes the Shanghai International Art Fair (iCiE). The rise of the region’s cultural industry is being celebrated. Building on the success of the inaugural edition, the iCiE 2019 display space has been increased to 54,000 square metres, resulting in a more international event with a larger impact on a larger scale.

80,000 people are expected to attend, with 15,000 of them being professional buyers.

Only 30 exhibitors will be allowed to participate. The competition is tremendous, with Chinese art collectors, buyers, and investors competing for the best pieces.

There are three distinct areas for art exhibitions.

1) Museums and Galleries (1-3 yrs)

2) Galleries (at least 3 years)

3) Platform-On-Its-Own (Established artists with proven track record)
