The United States Minority Chamber of Commerce Announces Operation HOPE -HONDURAS , with U.S. Private Sector Joining to provide Disaster Goods and Recovery Delegations to the families Affected by Hurricanes ETA and Iota

HELP HONDURAS RECOVER FROM MULTIPLE HURRICANES

1. The United States Minority Chamber of Commerce Foundation is hosting a coordination call for members, partners, companies, and individuals that want to support the humanitarian relief efforts,  due to Hurricanes Eta and Iota, this emergency started on November 5^thwith Hurricane Eta, and now with Hurricane Iota.
2. Never underestimate the power of the U.S. minority private sector to rise up to any challenge in providing support during this disaster with compassion relief programs
3. We have key partners who are actively responding, to provide the immediate needs in Honduras as well as the long-term outlook for recovery.

Miami, Florida. November 16, 2020. The United States Minority Chamber of Commerce (U.S. MCC) is pleased to announce it is joining forces with the U.S. private and public sector organizations in providing immediate support to Honduras with humanitarian assistance to families and communities devastated by Hurricanes ETA and IOTA.  Walmart, The Home Depot, Target are among the initial group of companies making a commitment to help Operation HOPE-Honduras recovery initiative.

The Chamber’s goals are to provide immediate humanitarian support to the families, economic revitalization, and programs to survivors of Hurricane ETA and IOTA  on-the-ground. The effort will provide a solid layout of distribution and coordination in Honduras as follows:

• Many corporations have stepped forward to be part of the relief for efforts, including American Airlines, Aetna, Amazon, Boeing, Caterpillar, Wells Fargo, Coca-Cola, Lowe’s, Goya, and others fortune 1000.
• The Chamber is coordinating with Anheuser-Busch InBev to send drinking water.
• The Chamber is receiving donations such as tents, blankets, and solar energy products
• The Chamber is organizing groups of doctors, nurses, first responders, electricians, and infrastructure specialists to rebuild bridges, hospitals, schools, and roads.
• The Chamber is organizing an economic revitalization project named “MentoringHonduras” for producers-farmers with seeds, tools, equipment donations with assistance for grants and loans with U.S. partners.

“Honduras is the heartbreaking evidence of the long-term devastation that is produced by hurricanes like Eta and Iota. Rebuilding takes far longer than anyone would like, and it takes far more resources than local governments can provide to the communities and businesses. We need deeper, sustained commitment from our American Enterprise and beyond”, stated Doug Mayorga, President of the Board of Directors and Founder of the United States Minority Chamber of Commerce.

“We are happy to announce that we will be partnering with the United States Minority Chamber of Commerce to provide logistical support and assistance in coordinating relief efforts for the people affected by Hurricanes Eta and Iota in Honduras”, said Mr. Robert Titus, CEO of Titus Commercial Laundry.
