Opencore Computer launches Hackintosh running on MacOS, Windows 10 Pro; Equipped with 64GB RAM

A company named Opencore Computer (OCC) has launched ‘Hackintosh’ system. It comes with pre-installed operating systems of Apple’s MacOS Catalina and Windows 10 Pro.

It is named Hackintosh, akin to Apple’s Mac Pro style workstation Macintosh. It will run on MacOS, but its hardware is not authorized by Apple.

Hackintosh named ‘Velociraptor’

This commercial hackintosh offered by Opencore Computer is called ‘Velociraptor’. According to a report in Mac Rumors, the machine violates Apple’s end-user license agreement created for MacOS.

Florida Company Sells Systems

OpenCore is a free open-source tool used to boot a MacOS and create a system. Florida-based Fizstar (Psystar) Corporation sells such open computers. The company closed its Hackintosh operation in 2012.

64GB RAM computer

The line-up under Opencore Computer boasts of the zero-compromise hacknotosh. The Velociraptor supports 16-core CPU, 64GB RAM and Vega VII GPU. Its price starts at $ 2,199 (about Rs 1,67,431).

Preparing to bring many models

Reportedly, Opencore Computer is planning to launch more models. The company can launch 64-core CPU and 256GB RAM options.
