8BIT Granted Financial Adviser’s Licence by the Monetary Authority of Singapore

8VI Holdings Limited (the “Company” or “8VI”) is pleased to announce that its FinTech subsidiary 8BIT Global Pte Ltd (“8BIT”) has been granted a Financial Adviser’s [“FA”] Licence under the Financial Advisers Act (CAP. 110) [the “FAA”] by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”).

The licence will allow 8BIT to provide financial advice concerning securities and units in collective investment scheme through research analyses and research reports, which highly complements the operations under 8VI.

In line with 8VI’s commitment to uphold the highest standards alongside other regulated activities under parent company, 8I Holdings Limited (‘8IH”) (together the “Group”), the Group has the appropriate policies and procedures in place and will continue to dedicate necessary resources to ensure the continued compliance with the regulations and strategy within the wider industry.

8BIT developed and first launched its smart investing tool in 2018 to allow users access to financial intelligence and make investments smarter, faster and easier. As part of the Company’s strategic shift into FinEduTech, its offerings and services were incorporated and aligned under a single brand and image, VI in January 2020.
