Harry Potter RPG release date, news and rumors

It looks like a Harry Potter RPG is on the way, allowing fans of the franchise to finally live out their wizarding world dreams in an open-world Hogwarts.

Rumors of a Harry Potter RPG (expected to be called Harry Potter: Magic Awakened’) first emerged back in 2018, when Redditor VapeThis Bro leaked footage of the game, claiming he was shown it as part of market research. Although the footage was quickly removed by Warner Bros, it was up long enough for fans to identify Hogwarts, various creatures and a character creator (via Eurogamer). 

Following the leak, we didn’t hear much more on this rumored Harry Potter game – until now. According to a report by Bloomberg, the leaked Harry Potter RPG will release on PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021. The report also claims that the untitled Harry Potter game will feature an expansive, open world replica of Hogwarts, where you can ‘role-play’ as a wizard.
