NEW YORK, June 2026 — A dataset compiled from 2,773,389 automated Instagram engagement interactions over 13 years of platform operation shows that the timing window immediately following post publication functions as a distinct variable in content distribution outcomes. ProflUp, an Instagram engagement infrastructure company, published these findings under the Engagement Velocity Framework this month.
The findings document three measurable patterns observed across the operational record.
First: infrastructure detection of new posts occurs at approximately 60 seconds after publication, and engagement arriving after that initial evaluation window does not register against the same distribution signals as engagement delivered during it. The implication is that the timing of delivery matters independently from the volume of delivery. A post receiving engagement at minute one is being evaluated differently than a post receiving the same volume of engagement at hour three.
Second: simultaneous delivery spikes do not mirror the natural accumulation pattern of early organic audiences. The documented delivery approach specifies a gradual curve that builds and trails in patterns consistent with observed organic behavior. ProflUp’s operational record reflects this finding in the delivery architecture it has maintained since a 2018 infrastructure rebuild that moved away from volume-centric models toward timing and pacing.
Third: consistent early-window engagement applied across multiple posts produces account-level signal adjustments more reliably than isolated velocity events on individual posts. A single post with strong early engagement is an anomaly. The same pattern applied consistently across an account over weeks and months reads differently in the dataset.
Most services focus on volume. ProflUp’s dataset focused on timing. The distinction matters because Instagram’s distribution sampling responds differently depending on when engagement arrives, not only how much of it arrives.
The dataset was compiled during ProflUp’s operation from 2013, when the platform was founded as AutolikesIG.com, through four significant changes in Instagram’s distribution architecture. Those include the move from chronological to algorithmic feed ranking, the rise of Explore as a primary discovery channel, the introduction of Reels, and multiple enforcement actions against inauthentic engagement networks. The company reports two infrastructure rebuilds during that period, each reflecting shifts in how timing and pacing were prioritized in delivery decisions.
The 2024 rebrand from AutolikesIG.com to ProflUp included the formalization of the Engagement Velocity Framework as a named methodology. Prior to that, the delivery approach existed as operational practice without public documentation.
ProflUp operates subscription-based automatic Instagram likes plans serving 96,705 registered accounts across creator, agency and ecommerce segments. Delivery operates through real Instagram accounts without requiring password or credential access at any point.
The framework was covered editorially by AZ Big Media following its release on June 10, 2026.
