It turns out, the panel can run even faster &#8211; up to 160Hz to be exact.<\/p>\n<p>The guys over at XDA-Developers found an Android Debug Bridge command that enables the ROG Phone 3&#8217;s panel to run at an experimental 160Hz for testing and everyone with basic ADB knowledge can enable it (instructions in the source link below).<\/p>\n<p>XDA has confirmed that the screen does indeed run at 160Hz and that some games, capable of 144fps, being technically fps-unlocked, can run at 160fps.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/asus_rog_phone_3-review-2137p4.php\">We verified in our review<\/a>&nbsp;that games such as 1945 Air Force, Mortal Kombat and Death Trigger 2 are all capable of running at 144fps on the ROG Phone 3.<\/p>\n<p class=\"image-row clearfix\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/the_asus_rog_phone_3_has_an_accessible_160hz_display_option-news-44474.php#\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fdn.gsmarena.com\/imgroot\/news\/20\/07\/asus-rog-phone-3-160-h\/-640\/gsmarena_001.jpg\" alt=\"Image courtesy of XDA-Developers\" width=\"516\" height=\"387\" \/><\/a><br \/><span><strong>Image courtesy of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.xda-developers.com\/asus-rog-phone-3-hidden-160hz-refresh-rate-mode\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">XDA-Developers<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Being an experimental mode, Asus hasn&#8217;t fully optimized the panel to run on it.
