An exclusive clip from the next episode of Agents of SHIELD<\/a><\/em><\/strong> reunites Daisy Johnson aka Quake (Chloe Bennet) with her Inhuman mother Jiaying (Dichen Lachman). The seventh and final season of Agents of SHIELD<\/em> is rapidly approaching the end<\/a>. Through nine episodes, the Marvel TV series has brought back several actors and characters from the show’s past as part of the time travel story.<\/p>\n

One of the most recent Agents of SHIELD<\/em> returnees is Lachman, who reprised her role Jiaying from season 2. The leader of the Inhuman sanctuary Afterlife died at the end of the second season after a villainous turn (where she tried to kill Daisy) but has now returned with the show’s 1980s story. Jiaying’s role so far predates the birth of Daisy, but Agents of SHIELD<\/em> included the surprise twist that Jiaying had another Inhuman daughter<\/a> before named Kora. She is now set to return in the tenth episode of the season, and it will feature the reunion fans have been waiting to see.<\/p>\n

The reunion of Jiaying and Daisy begins in a clip from season 7, episode 10 – titled “Stolen” – exclusively released by Screen Rant<\/em>. The episode picks up after the team survived a time storm in the previous episode, leading Daisy and Jiaying to come face to face in 1983. As shown in the clip below, Daisy isn’t convinced that a reunion with her mom is the best idea.<\/p>\n

Understandably, Daisy is hesitant about bringing Jiaying into the fold. She would’ve died the last time she saw her mom if Daisy’s father, Calvin Zabo (Kyle MacLachlan), didn’t step in. Now, Daisy will have to be with her mom again, but only Jiaying can’t know about their connection. The synopsis for “Stolen” confirms that after this clip ends, Daisy and Jiaying will have to spend a lot more time together. Daisy is tasked with protecting her mother and will have to decide whether or not to confront Jiaying for something she hasn’t done yet.<\/p>\n

The reunion between Jiaying and Daisy is just a part of what this Agents of SHIELD<\/em><\/strong> clip sets up for the new episode. Right before Jiaying and Gordon meet up with SHIELD, Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) is about to tell Daisy about her sister Kora. The arrival of Jiaying and Gordon interrupts the reveal, which could postpone the reveal for Daisy, possibly even to the point where Jiaying will be the one to tell her. Daisy seeing her mother again will be difficult enough, so it will be interesting to see how she reacts when she learns about a sister she never had. And with Kora teaming up with a superpowered Nathaniel Malick<\/a>, it’s possible Daisy and Jiaying will have to work together to defeat them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
