The TV channel for a NASCAR race is elusive enough in a normal season when Fox and FS1 trade broadcasts of Cup Series events through the first half of the schedule<\/a> before NBC and NBCSN take over for the second half. The schedule shake-up associated with the coronavirus pandemic make the “what channel is today’s NASCAR race on” question even more understandable.<\/p>\n

Tonight, for the second time this season, the TV channel for the NASCAR race is NBCSN. The Super Start Batteries 400 Presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts at Kansas Speedway marks NBC’s third broadcast of the season, as Fox’s slate ended with the July 15 All-Star Race.<\/p>\n

Sunday’s race at Kansas is the 15th race in NASCAR’s return on an altered, short-term schedule<\/a>, and the 19th Cup Series races overall as NASCAR attempts to keep a 36-race slate intact for 2020. The Kansas race originally was scheduled to run in late May but was rescheduled amid the pandemic and turned into a Thursday night event rather than a Sunday afternoon race.<\/p>\n

That means the Kansas race also has a later start time than originally scheduled, with the green flag scheduled to wave shortly after 7:30 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
