It&#8217;s not clear whether or not you need to be running the iOS 14 beta to be able to see it.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"hawk-widget\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\" data-widget-id=\"1308316531065246700\" data-result=\"missing\"><\/aside>\n<p>Android users have been testing dark mode since&nbsp;<a class=\"hawk-link-parsed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.techradar.com\/news\/facebooks-dark-mode-has-landed-on-more-android-phones-check-yours-now\" data-component-tracked=\"1\" data-custom-tracking-id=\"1105082619798414300\">the start of the year<\/a>, though it still hasn&#8217;t made its way out to everyone yet &ndash; it remains to be seen if dark mode will go live for everyone on Android and iOS at once. If it&#8217;s available on your device, it should be under the Settings &amp; Privacy menu.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facebook adds&nbsp;<a class=\"hawk-link-parsed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.techradar.com\/news\/facebook-starts-alerting-users-when-they-share-old-news\" data-component-tracked=\"1\" data-custom-tracking-id=\"1381572989077688600\">old news alerts<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a class=\"hawk-link-parsed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.techradar.com\/news\/even-if-the-iphone-12-4g-is-real-you-probably-shouldnt-buy-it-heres-why\" data-component-tracked=\"1\" data-custom-tracking-id=\"1071175297074997000\">iPhone 12<\/a>&nbsp;buying advice<\/li>\n<li>News on the&nbsp;<a class=\"hawk-link-parsed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.techradar.com\/news\/the-ar-apple-glasses-could-arrive-with-a-modular-design\" data-component-tracked=\"1\" data-custom-tracking-id=\"1049706892625481100\">Apple Glasses<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dark mode has also made its way to Facebook on the web, though again it hasn&#8217;t reached everyone yet &ndash;&nbsp;<a class=\"hawk-link-parsed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.techradar.com\/how-to\/facebook-dark-mode\" data-component-tracked=\"1\" data-custom-tracking-id=\"1104766600391120400\">here<\/a>&nbsp;are the instructions for activating it in Chrome if you&#8217;re not seeing it as an official option on the main menu.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"keep-on-waiting\">Keep on waiting<\/h2>\n<p>Considering dark mode has been embraced by so many apps in recent months, it&#8217;s strange that Facebook is lagging behind. To be fair to its engineers though, they did get around to adding it to Facebook Messenger&nbsp;<a class=\"hawk-link-parsed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.techradar.com\/news\/facebook-messenger-app-unlocks-dark-mode-for-everyone\" data-component-tracked=\"1\" data-custom-tracking-id=\"5809036242401608000\">last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Last year also saw a system-wide dark mode officially launched for iPhones, with the arrival of iOS 13. It&#8217;s possible that Facebook dark mode will appear for everyone with&nbsp;<a class=\"hawk-link-parsed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.techradar.com\/news\/ios-14-release-date-beta-features-and-supported-iphones\" data-component-tracked=\"1\" data-custom-tracking-id=\"8328354116450822000\">iOS 14<\/a>&nbsp;later in the year.<\/p>\n<div class=\"slot-double-height-0-413\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>Until then you&#8217;ll have to play the waiting game to get dark mode on your iPhone or iPad.
