Miles and New York City look better than ever.<\/strong><\/p>\n arvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/a> is one of the exciting surprises revealed during Sony’s PlayStation 5<\/a> showcase, The Future of Gaming. This new title from Insomniac Games is being developed exclusively for the PS5 and while there was some initial confusion, it’s been confirmed to be a true game, not a remaster or expansion.<\/p>\n Now, Insomniac has offered another update<\/a> on the game, sharing some details on how big it is and how it’s using the PS5’s tech. In addition to taking advantage of the DualSense controller, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales features ray-tracing, 3D audio and near-instant loading.<\/p>\n Insomniac also talks about the scope of this game, which is similar to Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and focused entirely on Miles. The story takes place around a year after the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man. Peter Parker is still okay but he’s not the focus of this game.<\/p>\n It’s important to note that having ray-tracing can mean a lot of different things. Maybe they’re being used for all reflections, or just some, or for shadows. We’ll have to wait for a deeper technical dive before we can tell but the mention of ray-tracing at all is promising.<\/p>\n Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is aiming to release exclusively for PS5 sometime in Holiday 2020, either as a launch title or coming shortly after the console is available.
