Two Profiles, One Account<\/b><\/h2>\n

Snapchat is direct about the split. Its overview of <\/span>profiles on Snapchat<\/span><\/a> states that only your friends can see your personal profile, while a Public Profile is visible to anyone on Snapchat.<\/span><\/p>\n

So somebody can be extremely findable and still have almost nothing on display. Two different settings doing two different jobs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The same page adds something people rarely realise. A Public Profile is optional to use. When you post, you keep full control over where each Snap goes, who sees it and whether it is saved to the profile at all.<\/span><\/p>\n
