LONDON \/ ROME, JUNE 2026<\/strong> \u2014 IMBUED, a university spin-off originating from La Sapienza University of Rome, will officially launch a Kickstarter campaign<\/a> on 9 May 2026 to support the development of its MetaMuseum platform, a digital environment uniquely designed to facilitate participatory approaches to art and creative practice. The crowdfunding effort will run until 26 June 2026, with an initial funding target of GBP 65,000.<\/p>\n

A New Vision for Digital Art<\/h3>\n

Positioned as a human-centred platform, IMBUED enables users to engage with artworks far beyond passive viewing. The MetaMuseum<\/a> seamlessly integrates elements of an exhibition space, creative tools, and community interaction, allowing participants to actively explore, interpret, and produce digital works.<\/p>\n

The platform is being designed to eventually integrate emotion-aware AI tools that heavily support collaborative creativity and artistic exploration. This technology helps users reinterpret and evolve artworks in ways that reflect both their creative intent and emotional context, without reducing the experience to purely automated generation.<\/p>\n

Co-Creation and The Beholder’s Share<\/h3>\n

The project is deeply informed by the concept of the \u201cBeholder\u2019s Share,\u201d the idea that the viewer contributes significantly to the meaning of an artwork. Within the platform, user interpretations may generate new outputs referred to as Certified Digital Artworks (CDAs)<\/a>, which can then be registered via an integrated blockchain-based system.<\/p>\n

A representative of IMBUED stated: \u201cThe project is based on the principle \u2018I Art Therefore I Am\u2019, reflecting the view that creative expression is a universal capability. With \u2018Let\u2019s Make Art Happen\u2019 as a guiding ethos, we are building a space where technology\u2014including AI\u2014supports human creativity rather than replacing it. The Kickstarter campaign<\/a> is intended to support early access and community participation in the platform\u2019s development.\u201d<\/p>\n

Backed by Science, Designed for Inspiration<\/h3>\n

The initiative is developed through a multidisciplinary framework spanning neuroscience, psychology, physiology, and computer science, in direct collaboration with La Sapienza University of Rome. This scientific foundation informs IMBUED\u2019s exploration of emotion-aware AI\u2014systems designed to better understand how users experience and respond to creative work, rather than simply generating outputs on demand. The platform will also contribute to ongoing academic research related to creativity and human perception.<\/p>\n
