This year\u2019s theme, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cBuilding a Digital-Friendly City,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> explored how AI and blockchain can drive inclusive, trust-based economic infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cFableration is proof that the next chapter of tech diplomacy is not just finance or infrastructure\u2014it\u2019s culture,\u201d said Wade. \u201cWe\u2019re using esports and storytelling to foster global connection and show what\u2019s possible when creativity meets community in a decentralised economy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Backed by Cloudtech, Fableration participated across several key streams including eTourism, esports, and digital community infrastructure. Wade signed the symbolic Olympic eTorch and received a commemorative Olympus Coin\u2014gestures that underscored the fusion of sport, narrative, and next-gen tech.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>At GDEC, Fableration showcased initiatives including:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Decentralised story curation and tokenised book funding<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The world\u2019s richest short story competition<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">An upcoming global hackathon on ethical AI in literature<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cross-cultural esports storytelling formats and creative gamification tools<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Wade highlighted three core pathways for bilateral cooperation: digital collaboration, tech-enabled culture, and story\u2013sport synergy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe believe cultural storytelling\u2014when fuelled by fair tech\u2014can build bridges faster than trade negotiations,\u201d Wade added. \u201cThis is a chance for Australia to lead, not lag, in a new kind of diplomacy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fableration is currently scaling partnerships with creatives, publishers, esports organisers, and policy leaders to expand its global impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>About Fableration<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fableration is a decentralised publishing movement reshaping how creative works are discovered, shared, and valued.
