Melbourne \u2013 <\/b>BOOKS.BY today announced the launch of its next-generation selfpublishing platform that enables authors to keep 100% of their book royalties and maintain complete transparency over their readership. Books.by achieves this by letting authors create their own print-on-demand bookstore and selling their books directly to readers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After amassing more than 10,000 authors in their pre-release phase, Books.by is now launching the new platform to the public, with multiple bookstore themes and print-ondemand availability in more than 100 countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Unlike traditional publishing platforms that take up to 55% commission on every sale in return for distribution, Books.by flips the model. Authors create their own bookstore and sell books directly to readers. Authors see exactly who is buying their books, receive 100% of their royalties, and are paid daily to their nominated bank account.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead of taking a commission on every sale, Books.by charges a flat $99 annual fee. The model is inspired by Costco \u2013 Books.by earns its share on a flat membership fee, and passes on the lowest wholesale print costs to authors with zero markup.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
