Karachi: The chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ehsan Mani, is under consideration for the next chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), ARY News reported. <\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the sources, few of the ICC Board members have contacted Mani and assured full support to him to become the new ICC chairman. The board members think that Mani can resolve the financial issues of the world’s cricket governing body.<\/p>\n

Remember, currently, Mani is heading Finance & Commercial Affairs in the ICC, one of its most powerful committees.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, current chairman Shashank Manohar wants Saurav Ganguly, the President of Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI), to take over his post after his tenure ends in July.<\/p>\n

It is pertinent to mention here that Manohar had already decided to not take any extension in his regime. On Wednesday, the ICC will discuss the process of electing a new chairman via teleconference.<\/p>\n
