<\/div>\nWinshuttle<\/a>, which works in data management and process automation, has partnered with document processing firm ABBYY<\/a> in an attempt to help companies better perform digital onboarding services, according to a press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n The process will involve extracting data from physical documents and loading them automatically into SAP.<\/p>\n The partnership will attempt to reduce costs for the numerous companies using SAP’s services for invoice processing and running financial systems in general, the release states. Using ABBYY FlexiCapture, those companies will now be able to process the invoices faster, extract the necessary data and use Winshuttle’s data management tools to process the invoices straight through.<\/p>\n Kristian Kalsing<\/a>, vice president of Products and Solutions with Winshuttle, said in the release that the new technology will aim to circumvent a time-consuming system full of manual work, multi-system participation and the complexity of using SAP’s application forms.<\/p>\n “Customers will now have a solution with ABBYY FlexiCapture for Invoices on the front-end to capture, sort, extract and validate the data and Winshuttle on the back end to collect, prepare and post single or batch invoices into SAP — all while adhering to SAP security and rules,” he said, according to the release.<\/p>\n Bruce Orcutt<\/a>, senior vice president of Product Marketing at ABBYY, said in the release that the company’s technology is aimed at reducing the difficulties with working with SAP, such as problems unlocking information to correctly invoice.<\/p>\n “ABBYY’s Content Intelligence technology and solutions provide the cognitive skills required to assist in automating content-centric processes,” he said, according to the release. “Our partnership with Winshuttle will be instrumental to customers who are processing documents and need to post it securely into SAP.”<\/p>\n During the coronavirus pandemic, invoicing<\/a> has become an issue for companies that had been using paper-based back-office structures. When they became unable to access their offices as many were forced to work from home, invoicing slowed.
