The goal is to make it easier for developers to &ldquo;create strong passwords that are compatible with popular websites.<\/p>\n<p>Apple&rsquo;s iCloud Keychain platform is already able to generate strong passwords at the time of account creation or when you change a password. The new Password Manager Resources open source project aims to extend that to password manager applications.<\/p>\n<p>Apple explains in its announcement post:<\/p>\n<p>The Password Manager Resources open source project allows you to integrate website-specific requirements used by the iCloud Keychain password manager to generate strong, unique passwords. The project also contains collections of websites known to share a sign-in system, links to websites&rsquo; pages where users change passwords, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Apple has launched the new&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/apple\/password-manager-resources\">Password Manager Resources<\/a>&nbsp;on GitHub, making it available to everyone.
