Critics are calling out many companies now pledging support for Black Lives Matter, accusing them of failing to stop racist language on their platforms and, in some cases, enabling the over-policing and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/tag\/surveillance\/\">surveillance<\/a>&nbsp;that protesters now march against.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos&nbsp;<a class=\"external-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CAzG5h8nWg5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-event-click=\"{&quot;element&quot;:&quot;ExternalLink&quot;,&quot;outgoingURL&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CAzG5h8nWg5\/&quot;}\">took to Instagram<\/a>&nbsp;last week to share an essay by the writer Shenequa Golding, commenting on the &ldquo;long reach&rdquo; of racial trauma. We developed a process specifically for these requests that is designed to honor our legal obligations while narrowing the scope of data disclosed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Some companies are being called out for developing products criticized for enabling over-policing and surveillance of nonwhite communities.
