This airline officially began in 1974 and is still the most recognisable airline in the UK today. According to Statista, 56% of people surveyed said that they had a positive opinion of the airline, making it the highest-rated airline in the UK. Its home is London Heathrow, and the airline flies to more than 170 destinations in 70 countries. The airline is so busy that a flight sets off every 90 seconds all over the world. And, although this industry is known to be a male-dominated one, the airline has 230 female pilots.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>EasyJet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">EasyJet is next on the list. Despite being one of the more budget-friendly airlines, it is known for offering trustworthy flights. According to Statista, 42% of those surveyed had a positive view of EasyJet. Based in London Gatwick and founded in 1995, it was named the best short-haul airline in 2018. This airline has a whopping 387 flight routes and is currently operating around 500 flights per day as they recover from the impact of COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Virgin Atlantic<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Virgin is known for being a dynamic and innovative company, and their airline is no different. From humble beginnings (one team flying one plane), Virgin Atlantic has quickly risen to become one of the UK\u2019s favourite airlines, sitting in third according to Statista. While Virgin operates more transatlantic flights than British Airways, it no longer has any short-haul flights. It also serves a range of food and beverages depending on the seat class you\u2019re in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jet2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jet2 is another low-cost airline that is known for providing cheap flights to popular holiday destinations across Europe and beyond. Although the company started less than 20 years ago, it has quickly risen to become one of the biggest airlines in the UK, placing fourth behind British Airways, EasyJet and Virgin Atlantic.
