Furthermore, the outlet&rsquo;s sources say Samsung is still deciding whether to add it to the Galaxy Note 20 series.<\/p>\n<p>A 5nm design alone would make for improved power efficiency and performance compared to the 7nm&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/samsungs-exynos-990-exynos-modem-5123-5g-1045709\/\">Exynos 990<\/a>&nbsp;in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/andauth.co\/BuyS20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-vars-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/andauth.co\/BuyS20\">Galaxy S20<\/a>&nbsp;series. The A78 on a 5nm design uses 50% less power and has a sustained performance boost of up to 20% over a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/arm-cortex-a77-cpu-990172\/\">Cortex-A77 CPU<\/a>&nbsp;on a 7nm design (as seen on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/qualcomm-snapdragon-865-vs-kirin-990-vs-exynos-990-1060885\/\">Snapdragon 865<\/a>). Furthermore, Samsung has usually brought major chipset upgrades to the S series first, generally adopting Arm&rsquo;s latest silicon in the new year.<\/p>\n<p>So a major upgrade like this seems very uncharacteristic, and more in line with Huawei.
