A few are archival or previously published texts of unique value.<br \/>\nGuest editors Jean Jonassaint (Syracuse University) and Reynolds And\u00fajar (Governors State University) cordially invite you to this virtual presentation and discussion of the new issue of <em>Hostos Review\/Revista Hostosiana<\/em> 17 entitled, \u201cDe las condiciones negras: un di\u00e1logo entre el Caribe franc\u00f3fono y el Caribe hispano\/ Des conditions noires: un dialogue entre les Cara\u00efbes francophones et hispanophones\/ Black Conditions: A French-Spanish Caribbean Dialogue\/\u201d on <strong>Wednesday, October 27th, 2021, 5:00- 6:30 pm (ET). <\/strong>During the virtual event, the guest editors will present the volume and the research behind its making.Contributing authors attending the event \u2014 Marie-C\u00e9lie Agnant (Haiti-Canada), Kianny Antigua (Dominican Republic-US), Dominique Deblaine (Guadeloupe), Yaissa Jim\u00e9nez (Dominican Republic), Lauristely Pe\u00f1a (Dominican Republic), Evelyne Trouillot (Haiti), Sherezada \u201cChiqui\u201d Vicioso (Dominican Republic-US) \u2014, as well as translator Asselin Charles (Haiti-Canada), will read brief excerpts from their works.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A roundtable discussion will follow the reading and exchange with the authors and the audience.
