Albuquerque NM<\/strong> April 20, 2021- OptiPulse has discovered a new light source that sends invisible eye-safe photons wirelessly from one building or pole to another at 10Gbps with its 3rd<\/sup> prototype.\u00a0 The invisible light source is a miniature chip that sends wireless data much faster than current Radio Frequency (RF) 5G emitters.\u00a0 OptiPulse can produce it in large volumes and has tested error-free at 25Gbps. Which means the Light is turning on and off at 25 billion times a second to send data over a \u201claser\u201d type beam of invisible light. The chips have been proven as a wireless source with systems development and evaluation links are being tested in Q4 2021 and shipped in Q2 2022. 6G modules and evaluation boards will be available for purchase from developers in Q3 2021<\/p>\n

OptiPulse is proving that invisible eye-safe light is superior to microwaves for sending high speed wireless data. The links use invisible light about the same wavelength as your TV remotes infrared light. The demonstrated 10Gbps upload and download systems can reduce the cost and increase the performance of those links. The prototypes used far less energy a typical microwave link uses per bit sent. \u00a0These combined factors may ultimately lead to a significant reduction in energy use worldwide even as the bandwidth demands increase.<\/p>\n

OptiPulse\u2019s first goal is to make infrastructure links that can \u201cplug into\u201d current infrastructure systems to upgrade those systems to superior performance.\u00a0 There will be a parallel development to a Smartpole that bolts into place and immediately connect to poles around it about four blocks apart. Those Smartpoles may distribute Gbps low latency links to homes and businesses for a very low cost.<\/p>\n
