The Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) is an admission test for the Graduate Entry Medical course. The test was at first intended for applicants applying to Australian colleges. GAMSAT Exam Structure

The GAMSAT consists of three sections which are outlined below:

GAMSAT Section 1: Reasoning in Humanities –

It has two writing tasks that evaluate your ability to communicate effectively with the written word. You have 5 minutes of reading time and an hour to finish the writing tasks.

Each task offers four statements on a typical topic. The first task deals with socio-social issues, and the deals with more private and social issues. In choosing topics for the tasks, each effort is made to limit factors that might disadvantage candidates from non-English speaking backgrounds.

GAMSAT Section 3: Reasoning in Biological and Physical Sciences – 

This section inspects the understanding and recall of basic science concepts. It comprises 75 multiple-choice questions, 40% of which require A-level Biology knowledge, 40% of which require A-level Chemistry knowledge, and 20% require A-level Physics knowledge. You will have 8 minutes of reading time and 142 minutes to respond to the questions.

Registering for GAMSAT
