Top 5 60” Standing Desks, Gaming Desks, Glass Desks – May 2022

21 9

Straight to the point: standing desks, gaming desks—they’ve become the rage of late. Let’s take a quick survey of what’s being put out right now. With the gaming desk and standing desk craze picking up speed over the last few years, I would be remiss to not fairly evaluate the desks you’re most likely standing desks, gaming desks to come across in your online search.

1. FlexiSpot Kana Pro Bamboo Standing Desk

v4824zb 1126

Price: $779.99

Dimensions: 60”W, 24”D, 23.5”-49” Height Adjustability

Good:

  • Sustainable core material (bamboo)
  • Serviceable amount of desk space
  • Height adjustability (but it’s so noisy and its mechanics feel… not long-lasting)

Could be better:

  • Absurdly overpriced for what you’re getting
  • See: 1st point
  • Don’t let the bamboo build fool you—there’s bamboo as its core material, but the finish and other aspects of the build don’t promise the specific durability consumers come to expect from a “mostly-bamboo” product
  • The legs get in the way—the footing will catch your foot
  • See: the third “good”

Takeaway:

The product as a whole is solid, insofar as it matches the picture and, to a rudimentary extent, fulfills the promises given in the product overview. Beyond that, it is so, so, so basic, and rudely expensive given how much you’re getting out of it.

2. Vitesse VIT 63” Standing Desk

23 4

Price: $149.99

Dimensions: 63”W, 29.5”D, 29.5”-48” Height Adjustability

Good:

  • Monitor rising arm is pretty nice—indisputably the sturdiest part of this whole gaming desk setup
  • Very clean look, and compact—which is useful
  • Favorable price (but read further)

Could be better:

  • Once you start putting it together, you start being able to tell how flimsy the materials are—you can’t reasonably expect anything made from these materials to have much durability
  • After it’s put together, this standing desk is way less unstable than it purports to be
  • The construction is cumbersome—legs get in the way, the desktop is deeper (almost 30”), so it takes up more space than a gaming desk like this should

Takeaway:

The fact that it’s as cheap as it is kind of set off some internal alarms. You want something that will more or less support a monitor? Great. It does that. That’s pretty much… it

3. Eureka Ergonomic GIP-P60 Standing Desk

24 2

Price: $225.99

Dimensions: 60”W, 27.5”D, 30”H

Good:

  • Provides plenty of space for your desktop setup
  • Strong build—carbon steel all around, and manufacturing methods compliant with regulations (which, you’ll be sad to learn, is not observed as often as you’d like to believe)
  • Comes with a complementary full-length mousepad, plus other amenities
  • Useful built-in cable management features

Could be better:

  • As simple as it looks, the instruction manual makes assembling it more confusing. Not too bad, but you still second-guess yourself putting it together sometimes.
  • Only slightly pricier than some other comparable listings, but this was a “con” about which I had serious internal conflict. In all fairness, it’s not so much of a con. It’s, like, $50 more expensive than some gaming desks listed here, but it actually (actually-actually) lives up to Eureka Ergonomics self-imposed “sustainable and quality materials” standard.
  • Yeah, that’s not a con.

Takeaway:

Hard to go wrong when you’re trying to find value proportional to your budget. Especially when you take into consideration the fact that you’re getting a BUNCH of extra amenities. Far more amenities than most other gaming desks you’ll find in your search bar, let alone this list.

4. MOT PK 60” Z Shaped Standing Desk

25 2

Price: $209.99

Dimensions: 60”W, 23.5”D, 36.8”H

Good:

  • This time the price actually rules—not in the same way as the previous listing but comparable
  • Z shaped structure helps it rest better against walls, making it easier to place

Could be better:

  • Z shaped legs blow, at the end—they don’t make sense, structurally, and they get in your immediate way. Just try swiveling yourself in your chair in one direction—you’ll crack your knee. Lame.
  • Monitor riser stretched too far out over the desktop. It gets in the way of typing. A pretty obvious (and egregious) design flaw

Takeaway:

The MOTPK 60” Z Shaped standing desk will serve the average person’s needs. It looks great, has an attractive aesthetic and engineering design. It is just hard to get past the Z shaped legs, which get in the way of so many things. I’m left wondering, “Why would anyone ever decide that THIS is the best architecture for something as simple as a gaming desk?”

5. Eureka Ergonomic Sentry Desk w/ RGB

26 1

Price: $269.99

Dimensions: 58”W, 36”D, 36”H

Good:

  • Spacious desktop and under-area with I shaped legs, augmented by cool Call of Duty-themed aesthetic and imagery.
  • Replete with a million features—and, unlike similar desks from other companies, you don’t have to buy them additionally. Eureka just includes them!
  • Rad RGB side-features.
  • Phenomenal value for its cost. With all its amenities, it’s hard to find a 60” gaming desk with more bang for its buck.

Could be better:

  • Instruction manual got me confused here and there. Wasn’t a big deal, though.
  • Gamers who don’t like shooters… just ignore the partnership, LOL. This is for any gamer. BUT if Call of Duty imagery actually bothers you, maybe avoid it? I don’t know. It’s over and above functional—beyond the IP tie-ins.

Takeaway:

The only way you could receive this listing better is if you’re already a fan of Call of Duty. If you aren’t a fan of Call of Duty, that really doesn’t play too heavily into this. Want a gaming desk that checks all the boxes? Here you go.
