Chicago, IL – Water Tower Research LLC announced today that Wall Street executive Dan Bukowksi has been elevated to the role of Chairman of the Board of the company and its parent company alphaDIRECT Group LLC.
Commenting on Dan Bukowki’s ascension to the Chairman role at Water Tower Research, Vice Chair & Co-Founder and Board member Tim Gerdeman stated “Having served on another Board with Dan Bukowski for several years, I have gained the utmost respect for Dan’s remarkable financial acumen and broader strategic business judgment. With over 30 years of experience in the financial markets, Dan Bukowski is currently Managing Partner with Net Alpha Advisors LLC, a startup focused on investment consulting and secure warehousing of security trade and execution data.
Previously, Dan was President of Quantitative Services Group LLC, a research boutique focused on quantitative equity research as well as trading analytics, which was acquired by Markit, NA in 2011. Over the past 30 years, Dan has served in various roles in institutional equity portfolio management with senior roles that include Global Chief Investment Officer for equities at Citigroup Asset Management, Chairman at Travelers Investment Management Company and Managing Director and Director of Quantitative Analysis at Zurich-Kemper Investments, as well as positions with IDS Financial Services and Morgan Stanley Asset Management.
Dan holds an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago where he graduated Valedictorian and served as teaching assistant to Professor Eugene Fama, and an A.B. degree in Statistics from the University of Chicago, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was a Student Marshal.
Dan’s board affiliations include the Investment Advisory Committee of the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System and the Dean’s Advisory Council of the Physical Sciences Division of the University of Chicago. Dan was also a founding board member of the Chicago Quantitative Alliance (CQA).
