DESTIN, FL \/ SEPTEMBER 24, 2020 \/ The National Small Business Association has been a U.S., staple for more than 80 years. It serves as a representing body for owners of small businesses in terms of providing resources, information, and communication with government offices and the media. <\/span>Christopher Rohe<\/strong><\/a>, recently welcomed to the NSBA’s leadership council, discussed the importance of the NSBA and its grassroots effort.<\/span><\/p>\n

The NSBA currently includes more than 65,000 small businesses across all 50 states. Every industry is represented in the organization in some way, and small business owners have enjoyed the NSBA’s representation for more than eight decades.<\/span> Christopher Rohe<\/strong><\/a> explained that the NSBA is made up of a number of leadership council members who represent small businesses before major governing bodies, including the White House, congress, federal agencies, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a newly-appointed leadership council member,<\/span> Christopher Rohe<\/strong><\/a> will contact members of Congress regarding high-priority small business issues. He may also serve as a face for the media. Through this role, Christopher Rohe will represent those who own small businesses and may not be able to represent themselves. His job is to advocate for the interests of small business owners across all industries to ensure they can continue thriving amongst ever-changing policies and economies.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Small businesses have created more than 65 percent of new jobs since 1995,”<\/span> Christopher Rohe <\/strong><\/a>said. “Small business owners are constantly working to improve this country, and they deserve to be properly represented.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Christopher Ro<\/span>we<\/span>he<\/span> explained that many small business owners are so busy working to help their businesses thrive, they don’t have time to go to every town hall meeting, contact their congressmen, or be involved in every major legislative event. The role of advocates like Christopher Ro<\/span>he<\/span> is to make sure these hardworking Americans are represented the best way possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Christopher Rohe<\/strong><\/a> added that some major priority issues facing the organization right now include the costs of health care, the complexity of the tax code for small businesses, reduction of the national debt, and cybersecurity threats among others. The NSBA is currently requesting that President Donald Trump show his support through authorizing and providing appropriate funding for a White House Conference on Small Businesses within the next couple of years.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The battles small businesses face are never-ending, and they only add stress to the lives of small business owners,” <\/span>Christopher Rohe<\/strong><\/a>. “I’m excited to make it my responsibility to seek reform, funding, and more that will help small businesses thrive, even in the uncertain economy we are facing today.”<\/span><\/p>\n
