Google released the first Android 11 Developer Preview<\/a> on February 19<\/a>, with a second Developer Preview on March 18. <\/a>Now the third Developer Preview is here too!<\/a> The latest preview focuses on bug fixes and productivity improvements for developers, and is less about big new features than the previous previews.<\/p>\n Although there have been three preview updates (plus one maintenance update), these versions of Android are still only meant for developers. You can certainly install it on a secondary device that you don’t need to rely on, but we don’t recommend installing it on your only smartphone. It’s just not daily driver material yet.<\/p>\n If you?re already running Android 11 Developer Preview 2, an OTA update will be available for you later today (April 23). For those not running Android 11 yet, you can manually download and flash the system image here<\/a>. Google is also making the update available through the new Android Flash Tool<\/a>.<\/p>\n Without further ado, here’s how to install the Android 11 Developer Preview.<\/p>\n Now for the actual steps:<\/p>\n You’ll need to download the proper file for your device before you get started. Click here to grab the OTA image for your specific Pixel device.<\/a> It’s also possible to use the full factory images (here<\/a>), though that requires extra hoops like unlocking your bootloader and more.
