OnePlus just announced<\/a> new limited edition OnePlus 8<\/a> and OnePlus 8 Pro<\/a> pop-up bundles. They each include one of the devices, a pair of the Bullets Wireless Z earbuds<\/a>, a Cyan Sandstone phone case<\/a>, and a Karbon phone case<\/a>. The best part about these bundles is that they only cost Rs. 1,000 (~$13) more than the standard handsets.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the bundles are only available in India, and customers need to win an invite code to purchase one. Ugh, OnePlus and their invite codes. In order to get a code, customers must participate in OnePlus’ recently announced Instagram challenge using one of two new device unboxing AR filters.<\/p>\n

Participants need to head to either @oneplus<\/a> or @oneplus_india<\/a> on Instagram to see the new filters, use one of them in a video on your Instagram story, tag @oneplus_india and use the #OnePlusARUnboxing hashtag in the post, and then save the video and upload it here<\/a>. OnePlus will hand out codes to those who make the most creative unboxing videos.<\/p>\n

The company didn’t reveal how many winners there will be or when they will announce them, but you can read more about these bundles and the AR challenge over on the OnePlus forum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Original article, April 14, 2020:<\/strong> The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are finally here and it’s clear that the company is graduating from its “flagship killer” status to a full-fledged “premium” smartphone maker.<\/p>\n

The top-of-the-line OnePlus 8 Pro<\/a> is a dollar short of reaching the four-digit price mark, while the OnePlus 8<\/a> has a more digestible price tag, costing close to last year’s OnePlus 7 Pro<\/a>.<\/p>\n

OnePlus’ premium prices for the new series were more or less expected. The company has been on a trajectory of increasing the cost of its phones<\/a> ever since the beginning.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, OnePlus has made it very clear that it wants to compete with the Samsungs and Apples of the world. The OnePlus 8 Pro is proof of that, with its fast wireless charging, IP68 rating, 120Hz display, and powerful quad camera setup.<\/p>\n
