What you need to know

- The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is Supermassive’s next horror game.

- It was originally scheduled to release at some point in Summer 2020.

Supermassive’s second multiplatform horror game, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope, has a new release date of October 30. While it was originally scheduled to release in Summer 2020, the game was bumped to ensure it would be polished in light of the global pandemic impacting development.

Supermassive cites films like The Witch and It Follows as inspiration for this entry. Actor Will Poulter is a member of the game’s cast. Much like the prior title Man of Medan, Little Hope can be played in single-player or in two-player co-op. It also supports a five-player theater mode.

The Dark Pictures Anthology is planned as an octology of narrative horror games, all connected through the eclectic gaze of the Curator.

In my review of Man of Medan, I noted “There’s plenty of great spooky stuff to go through, though the story feels a bit too safe and restrained compared to Supermassive’s prior work. At around $30 and about four hours to play through, with plenty of replayability, this is well worth grabbing if you’re interested in narrative-driven horror games.”

See Campaign: https://www.androidcentral.com/dark-pictures-anthology-little-hope-release-date-set-october-30
