Tustin, CA, June 24, 2020 — UniCourt, a Tustin based legal technology company, has just announced the release of its second annual TrueLaw Litigation Index with this year\u2019s 2020 Law Firm Ranking, which showcases the top 200 law firms for civil litigation across all federal U.S. District Courts.<\/p>\n

UniCourt originally developed the TrueLaw Litigation Index \u201cbecause [it] wanted to create a law firm rankings report based solely on litigation data without any additives or subjectivity.\u201d<\/p>\n

In order to produce the 2020 Law Firm Ranking, \u201cUniCourt downloads every new civil case that is available in PACER for all U.S. District Courts, and [its] artificial intelligence and automation technologies organize, clean, and structure that data to identify the real-world law firms, attorneys, parties, and judges involved in litigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The company noted that since its report is solely focused on ranking private practice law firms, that it has excluded all state and federal agencies, U.S. Attorneys\u2019 Offices, state Attorneys General, and nonprofits from consideration in the top 200 list.<\/p>\n

To give a preview of the firms included in the TrueLaw Litigation Index, UniCourt revealed who the top ten law firms were in U.S. District Courts for all of 2020:<\/p>\n

    In its announcement, UniCourt also shared insights from the year-over-year comparison of the 2019 and 2020 Law Firm rankings, by revealing which law firms saw the biggest declines and gains in the top 200 listing.<\/p>\n

    Additionally, UniCourt unveiled some of the \u201cnotable newcomers\u201d to the TrueLaw Litigation Index who did not make the cut for last year\u2019s report. The new entrants UniCourt listed are all AmLaw 200 firms with recognizable names in BigLaw:<\/p>\n
