Let\u2019s take a look at a business phenomenon called \u201ctransference\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since the industrial revolution, western companies have been starting to outsource the manufacturing and even assembly of a lot of types of products to China, and this practice has further boomed since the 90s, starting with commercial products and brands like Apple\u2019s Iphones and Macbooks, to industrial parts and equipment like Caterpillar tractors and cars etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, China has inherited a lot of western\u2019s technology and production methods over the years, and accumulate and improve on their own, hence the coined term \u201ctransference of skill\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This would be exactly the same case with designer bags and labels. Apparently since 2010, major designer brands like Prada, Gucci have started outsourcing the production of their bag parts to China, like labels, tags, hardware and packaging.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And that was 10 years ago.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, it was found out that even finishing and stitchwork of some of the designer brands are being made in China and printed with \u201cmade in France or Italy\u201d labels. This means that China already has complete access to the exact materials that were previously only available to original factories of the major brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now it\u2019s down to the one last thing; craftsmanship. How can China\u2019s craftsmen inherit these skills in seemingly such a short period? The short answer is \u201ctransference\u201d as well. Since the major brands have decided to outsource, they have no choice but to divulge their technical knowledge and expertise to be passed on and be duplicated by the Chinese.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now when these Chinese turn around and decide to make their own replica bags, guess where they stand on quality?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They would be equal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, as to the reason fake bags especially the lushentic grade bags may be produced even better than the authentic ones is due to another practice of \u201cover-compensation\u201d by the perfect replica bags manufacturers in China.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
