WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA \u2014 Monday, May 9, 2021 \u2014\u00a0DHS<\/a><\/strong>, a private equity and global investment firm, today announced that the DHS Chairman, Rakesh Sarna, has appointed Fernando Aguirre, Board member and DHS Vice Chairman, as Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors. His appointment follows Albin Mosbacher\u2019s retirement as Board Vice Chairman and as a member of the Board effective May 18, 2021. In connection with this appointment, current Board member Bill Schoch has been appointed as the lead independent director of the Board.<\/p>\n

Fernando Aguirre said, \u201cI am honored to be appointed as Executive Board of Governors Vice Chairman at this important time for DHS.
