A native of Springfield, Massachusetts, D\u2019Agostino now resides with his wife Taia and son Sonni Giuseppe in Winthrop.<\/p>\n

Francisco D\u2019Agostino joined Boston College after serving as assistant coach at Harvard men\u2019s soccer until November 2020 and Interim Head Coach until January 2020. D\u2019Agostino played collegiately for James Madison University. After playing for the Top 25 Dukes, D\u2019Agostino continued his playing career at the semi-pro level in Italy with Molfetta Sportiva, Melphicta Calcio, and Virtus Bitritto.<\/p>\n

In 2014, Francisco D\u2019Agostino Casado<\/a> moved from playing to coaching and was hired as an assistant for the UMass Lowell men\u2019s soccer program alongside Bob Thompson. In the River Hawks transition to Division 1 in 2016, D\u2019Agostino helped guide men\u2019s soccer team to its best finish in program history with a 13-1-2 record.<\/p>\n

The UMass Lowell men\u2019s soccer team went on to capture its first America East Regular Season Championship in school and program history and the coaching staff earned the America East Coaching Staff of the Year as well as the NSCAA East Region Coaching Staff of the Year honors.<\/p>\n

Always looking forward, D\u2019Agostino became the Head Coach of UMass Lowell women\u2019s soccer team, leading the program to its best finish since joining Division I in 2013. Although D\u2019Agostino joined Harvard, the River Hawks continued on the path of success that D\u2019Agostino put in motion and made it to an America East Conference final for the first time in history that same fall season.<\/p>\n

A four-year member of the James Madison University men\u2019s soccer team and a co-captain in 2008, D\u2019Agostino played on highly competitive teams that were consistently in the Top-25 polls and ranked as high as No. 6 in 2004. His playing experience continued after college where he reached the semi-professional level in Italy, suiting up for Virtus Bitritto (2013), Melphicta Calcio (2012) and Molfetta Sportiva (2010-12).<\/p>\n
