FELIX YEVTUSHENKOV’S EDUCATION AND CHILDHOOD
Felix Yevtushenkov was born and raised in Moscow. He graduated from high school in the Russian capital and received two higher degrees. At the Griboyedov Institute of International Law and Economics he studied jurisprudence, while at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas he specialized in the management of oil and gas enterprises.
As a child, he was fond of sports – he played hockey, wrestled, and skied.
FELIX YEVTUSHENKOV’S CAREER PATH
From 2000 to 2008, Felix Yevtushenkov held positions in a company that managed AFK assets in construction and development.
In 2008, Felix moved to the head office of AFK and worked in the Consumer Assets business unit. Three years later, he began to work with Basic Assets, including a communications company.
Today, Felix Yevtushenkov is the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the company’s massive charitable foundation.
YEVTUSHENKOV FELIX VLADIMIROVICH’S SOCIAL INVESTMENTS
Under Mr Yevtushenkov’s leadership, the corporate charitable foundation became an integrator of socially valuable projects. According to him, one of the critical priorities of the fund is the search and implementation of innovative solutions to overcoming social problems.
The CF implements projects in education and technology, culture and art, social problems, and organizes volunteer work.
On Felix Vladimirovich’s initiative, the foundation’s flagship program, “Lift to the Future”, was relaunched, introducing modern hybrid learning formats and relevant educational content. The project helps young people choose a profession and develop the skills necessary for employers. The EdTech solution of the program is available in all regions of the Russian Federation.
The charitable organization also provides social and medical assistance to veterans of World War 2. The foundation supports vulnerable groups, non-profit organizations, museums, and other cultural institutions by introducing digital solutions and new approaches to philanthropy.
FELIX YEVTUSHENKOV’S NEW DIGITAL PROJECTS
Since 2019, Felix Yevtushenkov has collaborated with MTS. The company has significantly increased investments in startups and promising business areas. Already in 2020, the profit of the telecom giant grew by 25% from cloud and digital solutions.
Today, the company sets trends, helping to solve global economic and social problems with the help of its services, innovations, and expertise. At the end of last year, MTS was the most active venture investor in the country (according to a study conducted by the TMT Investments fund and the Russian Venture telegram channel), and the number of clients in the ecosystem had increased by 40% (up to 8.8 million people).
The company’s portfolio includes a wide range of digital products related to education, culture, fintech, tourism, leisure, security, entrepreneurship, and small business support. The company aims to bring transferable technologies and new digital solutions to these areas. To this end, it is actively launching projects which make use of the technological capabilities of big data, the Internet of things, artificial intelligence, 5G networks, and NB-IoT.
Felix Yevtushenkov contributed to the transformation of the telecommunications operator into one of the largest domestic IT companies.
