City of Oakdale, Minnesota, to Achieve Transparency, Engagement Goals with OpenGov Municipal Government Software

The City, located east of St. Paul, is expecting a 20% population increase in the next five to seven years. Because of this growth, the Finance Director and City Administrator knew it was time to upgrade its budgeting and permitting/licensing software. OpenGov Citizen Services will enhance customer service by providing easy online access to applications for building permits, business licenses, pet licenses, and more. Applicants will be able to track progress of their applications and message City staff through the online portal. As the City welcomes new residential and commercial development, inspections staff will be able to conduct virtual inspections, upload photos from a mobile device while onsite, and provide feedback to contractors in real time.
